Lux ex Tenebris
This new collection is currently in its early stages. It explores the relationship between religion and modern society. Works are created in a range of media including pencil, pen and watercolour. Each piece captures a glimpse of a religious building within a modern setting, highlighting the striking contrast between these beautiful historic buildings and the new world they find themselves in. Lux ex Tenebris (Darkness from Light) is purposely ambiguous as the viewer is invited to consider what this means, opening up the discussion around the significant change in the western world’s perception of religion and the controversy surrounding Catholicism and the Church of England.
